This page is where we will be continually uploading material that is suitable to an IndoWiccan aspirant,
in an effort to make examples of our foundational practices of our tradition acessible to those who may be
drawn to an IndoWiccan path, but may not yet be ready for, or desire to undergo our training program. A student may
keep referring back to these pages as they are ready to incorporate more aspects of Hinduism into their practice.
Full in-depth courses on the Hindu Pantheon, Mantras, IndoWiccan ritual, and more are
available to any interested students through The Shakti Wicca Training Chakra. While these courses form the basis of our training program, they are available to the general public for enrolment
as well.

Aspirant Required Reading: Loving Ganesa
This link will bring you to the entire book, which should be required reading for aspiring IndoWiccans,
published online for free!
While reading the book in its entirity is mandatory for Shakti Wicca Neophyets, flipping through
one chapter each day on the computer can be an economical and convenient way to absorb this information.
It is suggested that aspirants utilizing these resources read Loving Ganesa before, or
else co-currently with, beginning the daily japa practice.

|
This is the first foundational practice suggested for an aspirant.
It should be performed everyday during the initial attunement period, and elements of it continued
throughout your spiritual life.
If one is completely unfamiliar with mantras, or has never worked with them before, it is recommended that
one research them independantly (recommended books are listed in the Readings section) or enrol in the Intro
to Mantras class offered through The Shakti Wicca Training Chakra.

and Devotional Altar
This series of articles and links will help you design, create, build and maintain an altar to help focus
your meditations, as well as serve as your main point of devotional worship and service to Ganesha and your Ishtadevatas.
This assignment should be undertaken prior to, or as soon as possible after, beginning the Ganesha japa
practice.

Intermediate Aspirant:
This link will bring you to a Phil Hine script for a simple, but effective Ganesha puja, that
incorporates many important and traditional Hindu ritual elements, but explains it in eloquent, simple and
completely comprehensible English.
Once a student is comfortable with the japa practice, and feel confident to begin more formal
devotion, they should begin performing this puja at least once weekly.

|

|
In Loving Ganesa you will find a chapter detailing a full traditional Ganesha puja for home worship.
Included along with the outline are the Sanskrit mantras used in this Hindu ceremony. At the above link, you will find
Real Audio files of the chanting, so that you can learn the correct pronunciation and rhythm of the mantras.
For those interested in incorporating more traditional elements into their ritual practice, these files are
invaluable. They are also particularly useful for all others, to begin learning how Sanskrit sounds so that your japa mantra
practice will benefit.
